At first light on the shores of Lake Wānaka, I joined Suyii and Marcos for an intimate couples photoshoot beneath the iconic Wanaka Tree. As the sun rose over the lake, I captured their connection through a documentary approach, focusing on the quiet moments, gentle laughter and affection.
Normally a bustling location, our early start meant we had the lake and tree almost entirely to ourselves. Braving the cold, we were rewarded with a soft mist lingering across the water while the cool blue morning light wrapped the landscape in a calm, dreamlike glow. It was the perfect setting for honest, romantic photographs.
